A Taste of Egypt: After opening in Kennedy Town in 2017 to rave reviews, Aziza brings its affordable and tasty Egyptian fare to a second location in Sai Ying Pun.

Look & Feel: This new branch replaces Classified Sai Ying Pun, sitting conveniently close to the tram line and surrounded by plenty of shops, hotels, and other dining establishments. Inside, the restaurant is bright and casual, with plenty of patterned tiles and upholstery, hanging, lantern-like lights, and even Egyptian-inspired murals on the walls.

On the Menu: Expect classic Middle Eastern and North African fare such as hot and cold mezze dishes — hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, homemade falafel and halloumi cheese — and mains spanning grilled meats and tagines, dishes prepared in an earthenware pot. Try the succulent lamb or beef kebabs or the hearty fish tagine with couscous.

Great For: Convivial family-style meals; spice lovers; vegetarian dishes other than simply salads.

FYI: The family-owned restaurant sees husband-and-wife team Mohsen Gaber Ibrahim and Zinab Mohamed Hammd presiding in the kitchen; their daughter even lends a hand with the baking.
