Mamma Mia!: Your mamma and nonna wouldn’t recognize this modern Italian trattoria. Ask for Alonzo is a fun, hipster take on the old-school neighborhood joints that are endemic to Italy.

Look & Feel: Think vintage trattoria, but with contempo hipster cool. There’s a touch of the 1920s about it with handprinted signs on the windows, and red-green-white chequered tablecloths.

On the Menu: Southern Italian done with big city style is the menu’s ethos. Expect signatures like Tuscan meat balls, burrata, and heftier plates like gnocchi Caprese, fettuccini carbonara, and mixed mushroom and truffle fettuccini.

Great For: Casual comfort food catch ups.

FYI: We hear Alonzo’s signature tiramisu is a must for dessert.
