Hidden Gem Of Italian-French Gastronomy: A Lux, Dining Art Group’s first Italian-French restaurant, brings its Head Chef Chung’s innovative spin on the rich Italian and French food culture to Central, the heart of Hong Kong.
Look & Feel: A Lux made great use of the city’s last gas lamps on Duddell Street as an introduction to its entrance. Walking past the architectural cornerstones, guests are then led into the restaurant by the stone staircase. The open kitchen near its entrance will be the diner’s first introduction to A Lux’s food before getting seated. The dining space, divided into the Private Dining Room, Main Dining Space and VIP Dining Room, adopts a warm lighting design that echos the interior design dominated by an earthy palette, touched up with vintage gas lanterns that pay tribute to the premises’ history.
On The Menu: The team takes diners on an immersive food journey with four newly designed menus: Tasting Menu (HK$980 per person) or Lunch Set Menu (HK$428 per person) served from 12:00 to 15:00, and the Signature Menu (HK$1,780 per person) or Dinner Set Menu (HK$1,180 per person) available from 18:00 to 00:00.
Comprising multiple seafood dishes, A Lux’s Dinner Menu would satisfy all your cravings. The menu opens diners’ appetite with a refreshing Smoked Salmon Imperial Fillet with Baeri Caviar, followed up with the Scallop, Asparagus and Iberico Ham to offer a sneak peak into A Lux’s different approaches to seafood. The restaurant’s forte is further enhanced with its Lobster Bisque with Ravioli and Cognac, a rich, creamy soup that encapsulates the taste of the ocean, balanced with a dainty ravioli sitting as the centerpiece of the dish that wraps in ingredients like celery to cleanse the palate. Reaching another climax of the menu is the two main dishes guests get to choose from: a Cod Fillet with Ox Tail and Beef Ribeye Cap, Pumpkin and Shallot. The night will end with A Lux’s dessert ranges, including Orange Chocolate Mousse and Chocolate Sponge Cake and a Cheese Platter.
Great For: Date nights, special days celebrations.
