Cantopop and fusion food: 1563 is a hybrid entertainment-venue-slash-restaurant-space that offers live Cantonese music performances and Hong Kong-style dishes to go along.

Look & Feel: There’s an actual stage at 1563 — so you know they’re serious about the music. Dark brown round tables fill up the rest of the dining space.

On the Menu: Chinese fusion dishes like Sichuan spicy chicken and fried hor fun rice noodles with kobe beef, as well as Hong Kong-specific treats like shrimp paste chicken wings are all on the menu.

Great For: Getting up to date with the local music scene.

FYI: 1563 is the numeral representation of the most popular chord progression in Cantopop.
