Zao Wou-Ki’s Works From 1949-2004: In celebration of French May, Alisan Fine Arts is presenting their 5th solo exhibition for French-Chinese abstract artist Zao Wou-Ki (1921-2013). From the curation of oil paintings, ink paintings, watercolours and prints, the gallery walks through the modern master’s career from 1949 to 2004.
Known for his abstract painting inspired by both Chinese and French cultures, Zao is one of the most influential artists in the international modern art scene. His works have been widely collected by important museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Tate, London; Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; National Osaka Art Museum; Hong Kong Museum of Art, M+.
