City Collage: The first solo exhibition by up-and-coming artist Ng Kai Fung, Wall___Sink explores the surrealism in Hong Kong’s cityscape. Ng makes use of a technique called image-stitching to put together images of the same location from different times of day. The result is highly unnatural renderings of the Lion Rock and other landscapes in Hong Kong, exploring the general atmosphere of confusion and uncertainty permeating the city in the past years. The series of images is inspired by Albert Camus’ The Myth of Sisyphus and its central question: how do one keep going after realizing the meaninglessness of life? Be prepared for a jarring visual journey through a familiar yet bizarre view of Hong Kong.
