Wine and Dine: Looking to try some adventurous tipple? Enjoy a range of fine Turkish wines — produced from one of the oldest wine regions in the world — alongside Northern Chinese food at the upcoming eight-course Turkish Wine Dinner at the Old Beijing Restaurant in Causeway Bay.
Event organizer Evercohol will be introducing Turkish winery Vinkara during the dinner, in its first appearance in Asia. The mission of the dinner, besides showcasing high-quality wines from a lesser-known wine region, is to reinforce the narrative that good Old World wines don’t always evolve around France or Italy.
What’s on the menu? Signature Beijing-style dishes, paired with sparkling, white, rose, red and sweet wines from Vinkara Winery. Free flow Turkish bubbles before dinner.
Did you know? Turkey actually produces better quality wines, at a very reasonable price range, compared to most mainstream wine countries. Evercohol founder Cass Lam will explain all this and more at the dinner.
When? 7pm to 10pm, November 30, 2016.
Where? Old Beijing Restaurant Rooftop, 5/F, Jardine Centre, 50 Jardine’s Bazaar, Causeway Bay.
How much? $420 per person.
How to RSVP? Email info@evercohol.com for a spot.
