- Starts : January 1st, 1970
Nestled in a scenic archipelago in the northeast New Territories, Lai Chi Wo is one of the oldest, biggest and best-preserved rural settlements in Hong Kong — and now, there’s a chance to visit this pristine village on an eco-themed tour.
Organized by Slow Food Hong Kong, the full-day guided tour on Sunday, December 19 will include a visit and walk around the historic village as well as the outdoor eco-farm. If the season is right, they may be a farm workshop (to harvest ginger or another seasonal ingredient), followed by a traditional lunch of Hakka dishes prepared by a villager. Another highlight is simply the incredibly beautiful boat ride to and from Ma Liu Shiu Pier and Lai Chi Wo village.
To register, sign up on Slow Food Hong Kong by November 25, 2021.
