Once in a Year: Have you seen the stunning Pink and White Shower tree outside The Murray in Central? The tree blossoms every year in May and has over 70 years of history — it is actually on the government’s register of old and valuable trees. There is also only one other pink shower tree in Hong Kong, located nearby Inspiration Bay on Lantau.

To celebrate this year’s blossoms, The Murray is working with the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) to host the two-day Pink and White Shower Art Bazaar. Walk through an art showcase by alumni of the academy, participate in a fun and meditative line-up of events including a tea ceremony by Toki Nashiki, an aromatic herbal experience by Okapi Studio, and a Sound of Tree installation by Mudwork. There will also be a guided tour to learn more about the architectural features and natural space.
