Freelance Farmers: The Days Before The Silent Spring is a solo exhibition by Hong Kong-based artist Lo Lai Lai Natalie on the musings and struggles of farming collective Sangwoodgoon (生活館, a house of living) and its members, who participates in the experiment “Half-Farmer, Half-X”. The members include photographers, designers, art and culture workers, journalists and researchers. Featuring five video installations to mark the tenth anniversary of Sangwoodgoon, the exhibition gives a nuanced look the collective’s hope to seek alternatives and autonomy through farming.
