Graffitification: Annual street art and mural festival HKWalls is returning from May 8 to 16 at Sai Kung! The festival invites artists to paint walls every year and has created beautiful wall art in Central, Sheung Wan, Wan Chai and Sham Shui Po during their previous renditions. From May 8 to June 6, HKWalls will also be hosting their first ever exhibition Tools of the Trade, presenting the history of street art and graffiti through the tools artists use to creating street murals. Learn not only about the heavy US influence on Hong Kong graffiti, but also how the King of Kowloon started painting the streets of Hong Kong way before graffiti became popular in the US.
Where? HKWalls: Sai Kung; Tools of the Trade: Soho House Hong Kong, 33 Des Voeux Road West, Sheung Wan
When? HKWalls: May 8 to 16, 2021; Tools of the Trade: May 8 to June 6, 2021
