Let us eat cake: PLANTATION, the sister tea brand of beloved local tea cafe teakha, has launched two gorgeous new tea products for Chinese New Year: a Unity White tea and a White Peony tea cake. The Unity White tea (left) is a Gong Mei from Autumn 2015, sourced directly from the homeland of white tea: Fuding city in China’s Fujian province. The tea has a unique and delicate taste, with a lingering floral fragrance.

The White Peony tea cake (right) was harvested in the Spring of 2015, and the cake’s lovely round shape is meant to represent the concepts of perfection and reunion, according to Chinese culture. The top-grade white tea — which is actually a pale golden green in color — is also from Fuding, and takes on gentle and refined notes of honey and cucumber.

PLANTATION’s usual tea collections, like the Jasmine Pearls and the Masala Chai, are also available in limited-edition festive packaging.

When? Now until February 28, 2017.

Where? teakha kitchen, 18 Po Tuk Street, Shek Tong Tsui, 3482-2660.

How much? $220 to $580, depending on product.
