Looking for a New Year’s Eve to remember? Well, with all the champagne popping, we can’t promise you that — but these New Year’s Eve countdown parties sound pretty epic.
Hong Kong New Year’s Eve Countdown
If you want to stand a chance of a waterfront seat, then stake out a spot early. You won’t want to miss this year’s event: the Hong Kong Tourism Board is going above and beyond with a “pyromusical” display that’s set to include 160 smiley-face-shaped fireworks, as well as hearts and “shooting stars.” For the best views, the Hong Kong Tourism Board recommends a few strategic locations: the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsm Sha Tsui Promenade, West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, the New Central Harbourfront, Golden Bauhinia Square – or opt for boat cruise around Victoria Harbour.
Decked out from head to toe in ornaments and mistletoe, The Woods is finishing off 2015 with a bang. The bar’s Swing It Like Sinatra: Rat Pack NYE Party is set to swing into the new year. The real party starts at 9pm, when big band tunes and an open bar will certainly warm you right up.
17 Hollywood Road, Central, 2522-0281.
New Wan Chai watering hole MyHouse is throwing a series of house parties this holiday season that will have you feeling merry in no time. The highlight of the season will be the New Year’s Eve party, where you can enjoy the beats of Metales Balearicos Soundsystem ’til it’s time to say hello to 2016, champagne in hand.
