Music x Cinemas: For the first time ever, MOViE MOViE is collaborating with Hong Kong Sinfonietta to present a film festival with a special musical twist. The unique collaboration stems from the City Hall closure due to the Covid pandemic, when Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s performances were recorded and screened in cinemas. To follow up on its success, MOViE MOViE collaborates with Hong Kong Sinfonietta to present the art film festival. Look forward more than 20 films about legendary artists from the world of music, fashion, painting, architecture and theatre.

Catch the world premiere of Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s Back on Stage III: Destiny, All-Star Tiny Galaxy @ Wontonmeet — a special performance at Sham Shui Po hostel — and Vive La Musique! — a beautiful performance of Beethoven Spring Sonata.

Other premieres include: multi-disciplinary artist/composer Samson Young’s Muted Situation #22: Muted Tchaikovsky’s 5th – an art-installation turned “performance” in “silence”; Max Richter’s Sleep shows how the “sleep experiment” was made with his special “music”;  Exhibition on Screen: Sunflowers takes you through Van Gogh’s different sunflower paintings, and Re-Fashioned, a local documentary calling for a sustainable environment through upcycling clothing.
