Seed Down: “A Date with Seeds,” organized by Nam Fung Group, is a month-long event at Tsuen Wan’s The Mills celebrating local farmers and local food resources. At the seasonal weekend pop-up farm shop, you will find fresh and seasonal ingredients as well as exclusive food products by local food manufacturers. Exciting products include the “Amaranth Green Sauce”, made by Little Life Project with amaranth grown locally in Pat Heung; “Winter Melon Syrup in fig leaves and lemon flavors” produced LoCoFARMS with winter melons from Lai Chi Wo boiled with local fig leaves and lemons; and handcrafted “Luk Keng Plum Wine” made with fresh green plums by Ms Wah from the Wan Chai Kai Fong Chateau.
There will also be several weekend farmer’s markets at The Mills on 1, 21 and 22 August, where you can meet local farmers and shop the freshest picks of the season! On top of all that, Hong Kong Agriculture 3.0 will host a book launch on 1 August 2021 to talk about the recently published “The Yellow Pages for Local Farmers”, the first farming and agricultural guidebook of its kind in Hong Kong.
