Cuteness Overload: Sukeroku the hamster is a character created by Japanese artist GOTTE, who personifies her real-life hamster pet in her illustrations, which have taken Instagram by storm. She imagines Sukeroku sampling red wine, going to the cinema, reading, and the cute portrayals has captured the hearts of fans online. More than 310K people follow the life of Sukeroku on Instagram now. Presented by Gallery by the Harbour, the “Life of Hamster SUKEROKU” exhibition is GOTTE’s first overseas exhibition and features 45 original paintings of the hamster. There is also a new exclusive series “SUKEROKU in Hong Kong”, featuring Sukeroku enjoying iconic sights and food in Hong Kong.
While the original paintings are not for sale, the illustrator has designed a set of 15 art cards for fans to take home. The cards will be sold in two phases. The first eight will be on sale from March 26 to April 4, and the seven additional ones will be available from April 5 to 18.
