[Update] Apologies that we have to postpone this event to later this year — please stay tuned!

Cooking Up a Storm: Blackie Hui, the Cantonese food expert whose recipes grace the food tome “Hong Kong Food & Culture: From Dim Sum to Dried Abalone” (published by our parent company Man Mo Media), will be hosting a cooking class and tea pairing session at BiteUnite this July 8.

He’ll be demonstrating how to make a traditional dish called lahp mei fahn (rice with Cantonese dried meats), and making sure everyone in class lends a helping hand. Blackie will also demonstrate how to make some fried shrimp paste chicken wings as the second dish.

After the cooking sessions, you’ll be able to sample and taste the dishes, which will be paired with two fragrant Chinese teas from local brand Canton Bloom.

Where? BiteUnite, G/F, 15 Lung On Street, Wan Chai.

How much? $200 per person. Includes lesson and tasting samples.
