Spice It Up: Thai restaurant Mak Mak turns up the heat with a six-course sharing dinner that kicks off with a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot and a steamy bok taak, a hot and sour mussel broth featuring notes of galangal, lemongrass and young ginger — all known aphrodisiacs, wink, wink. The meal ends on a sweet note with executive chef Josh Harltand’s personal favorite dessert, a sweet roti with coconut custard and banana.
