Dreamlike Softness: At only 21 years old, Lean Lui is a Hong Kong artist and photographer whose work has already been featured in Vogue Italia, VICE, Hypebeast, Figaro HK and more. The exhibition, Epoch, is a selection of artworks by Lui as a summary of her creative work so far. This will also be her last exhibition before she leaves for London to study at Central Saint Martins. Lui’s photography is known for her tender yet vigorous gaze: while the visuals often convey a soft and dreamlike quality, her subjects are resilient and unyielding. The featured works include a series on the female body as well as her pain and anguish during a surgical operation. This exhibition is presented jointly by Eaton HK and Women’s Festival HK.
