Le French May 2016 is technically launching in April (on April 30th to be exact), but it’s going to last pretty much all summer long. The annual event is now in its 24th edition, and will once again celebrate the country’s cuisine, arts and culture at various venues across the city.
This year’s Le French May theme is “Dreams & Wonders” so you can expect some avant garde art, out-of-the-box acrobatics performances, a graffiti workshop and creative eats in the festival’s dining department — Le French GourMay.
Speaking of food, you’ll get to dig into cheese spreads, fresh seafood, and a long list of wines. Several Hong Kong-based brands will be handing out snacks and drinks, such as Monsieur Chatté, Le Pont Parfumé and B.A.M. bakery.
It’s all kicking off with a three-day party in the PMQ courtyard, which will be designed to resemble the age-old architecture of Alsace, a historic village in eastern France.
Free admission. April 30-June 30, 2016. Various locations, including PMQ Courtyard, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central. See program for more details.
