Lamma Legends: As part of the Hong Kong Museum Festival, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department presents the “Lamma Mia” Public Art Project. Activities will take place on the southern part of the island — Sok Kwu Wan. The project has commissioned 15 artists to work as artists-in-residence, create works based on the island, and produce documentaries respectively. All of the artworks and events will explore the island’s history and lifestyle and how they have been shaped by the interplay between land and sea.
The project is also working with Art Together and the Hong Kong Community Heritage Foundation to organise a series of events, including guided tours and community workshops. For the latest news on “Lamma Mia”, follow “Art-OUR in situ” on Facebook and Instagram.
