Peer Into the Pier: Instagrampier is a solo exhibition by photographer Pierfrancesco Celada. Pier started frequenting the famous “Instagram Pier” at the Western District Public Cargo Working Area after he moved to the area in 2016. He captured the many visitors to the pier, and curated his own instagram account @insta_pier.

The area was once used for shipping and trading, but it has since transformed into one of the most famous public areas where people go to watch the sunset, take photographs, fish, walk their dogs and exercise. Up until March 1, 2021, when the Marine Department closed the Pier, Pier has taken more than 30,000 photographs of the Instagram pier.
