France Onscreen: The 49th edition of the Hong Kong French Film Festival had planned to bring a total of 40 films from France to the city’s theaters and — for the first time — online on their streaming platform. Due to the ongoing fourth wave of Covid-19 cases, the screenings have been cancelled and will be rescheduled, but the online streaming platform is still happening! 14 films will be shown on the festival’s streaming platform, including the Cannes selected “Gagarine”, “Rascal” and “The Big Hit”, as well as “Lovers”, a critically acclaimed film screened in competition at the Venice Film Festival.
