Rise and Fall: The Hong Kong Dance Company blends classical and modern dance to tell the story of protagonist Xiao Yanqiu, a Peking opera actress whose career takes a sharp turn downhill. The production was adapted from the award-winning novel of the same name by director Wang Yabin.
