Hong Kong Pantone: Walk into the exhibition and you’ll find pieces and pieces of fabric with a blob of color on it: each of these colors are created from clay collected from one specific area in Hong Kong, from the Hong Kong Island and Kowloon to the New Territories. Together, the exhibition hopes to explore local clay and ensemble a collection of “Hong Kong Pantone”.
46 current and former teachers and students from the Hong Kong Art School collected samples of clay from various locations throughout the city, and created a collage which tells different stories with the most truthful assortment of colours of Hong Kong.
The remaining clay was used to make buttons that you can buy at the exhibtion and take home!
