Kong is a veteran journalist and filmmaker who has made over ten documentaries on topics including indie booksellers, Hong Kong sex workers, female villagers of Choi Yuen Village and more. Get deep into the interior life and stories of local sex workers in Sisters and Zi Teng, meet book lover and book shop owner Ma Kwok Ming in “why Ma Kwok Ming?why Benjamin?” or learn more about the anti-development movement by Choi Yuen villagers in Blossom of Struggle — Women of Choi Yuen Village. These films and more are available for online rental until February 26, and the money from the screening will be used towards the making Kong’s upcoming documentary of local poets in the the 1970s.
