Christmas Chandelier: Celebrate a green Christmas this year at Tsuen Wan’s The Mills, a revitalization project now housing retail shops, a textile museum, and cultural happenings. The creative hub is working with local designer Orange Terry to create a massive Christmas tree installation made from recycled wood and suspended from the ceiling like a chandelier. Each piece of wood is processed with Japanese wood preservation technique Shou Sugi Ban to enhance the unique texture. If you look closely, you’ll see that every piece has its own unique patterns. The Mills has also partnered with local eco-friendly brand The Right Stuff Company to create a green Christmas gift. The exclusive Christmas DIY Little Tree Box Kit is handmade with recycled wine creates by local artisans. You can buy it at Techstyle X at The Mills or online at Pinkoi.
