A Noble Steed: Get ready for an unforgettable theatrical event! For the first time ever, The National Theatre of Great Britain’s Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of War Horse will visit Hong Kong this May!
Based on Michael Morpurgo’s beloved novel of the same name, War Horse tells the heartrending story of Joey, a beloved horse that’s sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France at the outbreak of the First World War. Caught in enemy fire, Joey embarks on an extraordinary journey that sees him serve on both sides before finding himself along in no man’s land. His owner, the young Albert, who never forgot his beloved steed, sets out on a daring rescue.
Having won more than 25 international awards, War Horse will open in Hong Kong on May 10. The show is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and was adapted from the book by Nick Stafford. The highlight is the ground-breaking puppetry by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, which brings breathing, galloping horses to life.
