First Refugee Week Festival In Hong Kong: Founded in 1988, Refugee Week is a UK-based festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. The festival presents a variety of arts, cultural, sports and educational events alongside media and creative campaigns to build connections between refugees with their new home via a universal language: food and culture. Hong Kong welcomes its first Refugee Week this year, in which the public will be able to experience different food cultures in a virtual cook-along, as well as hear from the community first-hand through poems submitted by refugees and asylum seekers.
