Break of Day: Lumenvisum presents a new solo exhibition by Hong Kong photographer Tong Kit Yee, who spent the last five years taking photos of local landmarks during the hours between 5am and 7am, where the light is warm and tender. As the general mood in the city for the past few years had been gray and oppressive, Tong felt that even familiar landmarks were becoming unfamiliar. She then began going out in the morning hours to take photos for local landmarks during the hard-to-find quiet and relatively peaceful hours.

Her photographs capture a different side of familiar architecture such as the Legco building and Victoria Park, and hope to convey her wishes for a hopeful and brighter Hong Kong

Where? Lumenvisum, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, 30 Pak Tin Street, Shek Kip Mei

When? September 14 to October 3, 2021

How much? Free!
