Learning A Culture In Cinema: In association with the Broadway Cinematheque, the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao presents European Union Film Festival 2022. Today in 2022, the world still suffers for a number of obsolete reasons — war, racism, political oppression, etc. The Festival celebrates fundamental values that build the modern world, human dignity, freedom and human rights, through a series of European films that honors such morals while highlighting the diversity of European culture and the richness of cinema tradition.

The festival opens with the screening of The Forgotten, the story of a language teacher who cannot leave her city occupied by separatists in eastern Ukraine, and will close with a Polish film Leave No Traces that documents the case of high school student Grzegorz Przemyk, who is beaten to death by police.
