New Year Fun Run: As much a carnival as it is a marathon, the Hong Kong Streetathon features two runs: the ambitious 32.195km, that goes from Fortress Hill to To Kwa Wan in four and a half hours, and the less strenuous 10km from Kwun Tong to Kowloon Bay in two hours. But this race isn’t like others in the city — it’s filled with plenty of fun along the way, from refreshment stalls to cheer points and even massage stations. Runners are known to come in costume, too.
When? 4am to 1pm, January 12, 2020.
Where? The 32.195km race starts at the Island Eastern Corridor while the 10km race starts at the Kwun Tong Bypass.
How much? $288 (individual 10km), $428 (individual 32.195.km).
How to book? Register at the event website.
