Fantasy City: An exhibition inspired by the idea of “dreams”, Dreamatic Art Show is a joint art show featuring four Hong Kong artists Angel Hui, KC Wong, Ray Choi, and Tommy Yue. Their works all include elements of fantasy. Ray Choi’s photo series The Lady of Fifty-Two Seasons captures the various mannequin models in the city. In his works, the mannequins seem to inhabit a shadow reality of the city, inviting the viewers to reflect on the fast pace with which they are replaced or updated. Angel Hui paints stunning modern interpretations of blue and white porcelains, often with a dash of humor. KC Wong’s new collection RidiculousSneakers is a snarky commentary on our materialistic society, while multimedia designer Tommy Yue has designed a series of original toys that evokes all our fantastical childhood dreams.
