After a wildly successful first run, Art Central is bringing back its custom-built harbourside digs for another appearance in 2016. Running from March 21-26, Art Central will again focus on contemporary art but this time put a greater emphasis on large-scale installations and performances. 

It all kicks off with a celebratory “First Night” full of Mumm champagne and insider looks at what’s in store from the over 100 galleries, 70 percent of which are from Asia. Throughout the weeklong event, the creative atmosphere will be propelled by a host of roundtable talks and tours.

To help art lovers navigate the event, Art Central will be organized by section. Find most of the large-scale works in PROJECTS while most up-and-coming artists will be featured in RISE. There’s also GROWTH, a 12-meter-long ink installation on recycled paper by Indonesian artist Dwi Setianto, as well as new media and performance art in MEDIA X MUMM.
