Gone Fishing: For the second Christmas Eve in a row, depurated seafood specialist Table will be offering a festive, full-seafood menu based on Italian traditions. The “Feast of the Seven Fishes” is part of an Italian Christmas Eve celebration meal. Traditionally, Christmas Eve is a fasting day, and eating seafood on Christmas Eve comes from the Roman Catholic tradition of “abstinence or sacrifice” — or refraining from meat consumption. The “Feast of the Seven Fishes” will feature Norwegian langoustine, kelp-aged Hokkaido scallops, smoked white eel, Hokkaido uni, and other delectable seafood items.
