A Helping Hand: As India goes through the worst of its Covid-19 crisis, veterans of Hong Kong’s F&B industry are coming together to offer what support they can. The latest endeavor is “Hong Kong Helps India,” a charitable initiative that invites Hongkongers for an evening out in the name of a good cause. Five award-winning bartenders will be shaking up specialty cocktails, including Tell Camellia’s Sandeep Hathiramani; The Wise King’s Sandeep Kumar; The Aubrey’s Devender Seghal; Whiskey & Word’s Deven Rajput; and Dragonfly’s Navneet Kumar. The cocktails will be available to enjoy at Hugger Mugger or to go. Next door, at Chaiwala, Executive Chef Prabir Banerjee will be whipping up a four-course menu featuring signature Indian delicacies such as Bombay Fried Chicken, Old Delhi Butter Chicken, and Tandoori Broccoli. Throughout the evening, there will also be raffle draws, so guests might have a chance of winning staycations, premium spirits, brunches, dinners, and more. All proceeds from the evening will go to the Indian Red Cross Society to assist with the country’s pandemic relief.
