Food for love: Looking for the perfect place to woo your loved one this Valentine’s Day? Newly opened restaurant and wine bar 12,000 Francs might just be the perfect setting for that intimate meal.

Start with a few signature dishes, like the king salmon tartine served with horseradish; the crispy montanara topped with tomatillo salsa verde; and the crispy spiced pork trotters with aioli. Follow with a juicy wagyu beef duo that comes with tender braised beef cheeks, mushrooms and greens. Finish with chef Conor’s homemade warm cherry tart, accompanied with almonds and pickled Sakura ice-cream. Special wine-pairing packages are also available on the evening, featuring boutique champagne brand Janisson & Fils.

“Like any fiery romance, we start strong: in this case with a barrel-aged cocktail. Find balance midway with our innovative cuisine; but always have room for a touch of champagne,” says chef-turned-restaurateur Chris Woodyard.

When? February 14, 2017. Two seatings: 6:30pm to 8:30pm; and 8:45pm onwards.

Where? 12,000 Francs Restaurant & Wine Bar, G/F, 43 A Elgin Street, Elgin Building, Soho, Central.

How much? $480 per person for three-course menu from 6:30pm. $650 per person for four-course menu from 8:45pm.

How can I book? Call 2529 3100 or reserve a table on the 12,000 Francs website.
