Cocoa Cool: Born in Girona, Spain, luxury chocolatier Casa Cacao will be popping up in Hong Kong just in time for Valentine’s Day. Masterminded by chef Jordi Roca, Casa Cocoa specializes in “bean-to-bar” chocolate, which means the team sources carefully selected cacao beans from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and India, then processes them by hand in their Girona workshop to create their exquisite chocolates. The Hong Kong-pop-up will offer a plethora of these sweet delights, including boxes of assorted bombones, individual chocolate bars – including 66% to 80% dark chocolate), two unique bars made with 70% Venezuelan cocoa and either Ethiopean coffee or licorice and tangerine, as well as the brand’s signature hot chocolate.
