Passing of the Guard: For years, Café Gray Deluxe, the sophisticated European restaurant atop Upper House, has been a stalwart of the Hong Kong fine-dining scene. So, it was a sad day for the city’s foodies when the culinary icon announced it would be shutting its doors a the end of the year to give way to a new concept that’s due in Spring 2021. To celebrate its legacy and allow diners to enjoy one last hurrah, the restaurant is offering an exclusive farewell menu that will feature some of Chef Gray’s signature dishes, such as Tarragon Scented Lobster Bisque, Braised Short Rib of Beef, and Chilled Soup of Chrysanthemum and Pear. Of course, the menu will be accompanied by an exquisite wine-pairing by the house sommelier.
