Return of Live Performances: The 50th Hong Kong Arts Festival is returning the upcoming February and March 2022, featuring 51 in-venue programmes with 131 performances, 9 online programmes and over 400 complementary outreach and education activities.

Some of the live performances will be under the theme of Arts and Technology, showcasing innovative works by artists making use of new technologies. Highlight programmes include A Tribute to Cantonese Opera Legend Sun Ma Sze Tsang, where veteran performer Sun Kim-long and emerging Cantonese opera performers pay tribute to Sun Ma Sze Tsang in full-length performances of the late revered Cantonese opera star’s best-known repertoire, and Laila, a special project and co-production of the HKAF with the Finnish National Opera and Ballet (FNOB). Laila will take place at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum from 25 February 2022, free of charge to the public upon registration.
