Art Basel Hong Kong is coming to the SAR again this March, bringing with it 187 galleries and works by over 4,000 artists from around the world, including enormous representation from artists in Asia.

Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from March 24-26 2016, Art Basel will again be divided into several “Sectors” to enable art enthusiasts to find what they’re looking for amidst the massive spread of paintings, photographs, installations, sculptures and even video pieces.

The Galleries sector is where you’ll find the majority of the event’s modern and contemporary art, while Insights features artists and thematic exhibitions from the Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. New and emerging artists will be the center of attention in Discoveries, and all the large-scale sculpture and big-ticket installations will be on display in Encounters.

Movie buffs will be especially excited about Art Basel Hong Kong’s Film sector this year, which will feature a variety of experimental films and short documentaries. In addition to the galleries and exhibition spaces, Art Basel Hong Kong will also offer a series of panels, presentations and performances, and even some guided tours led by contemporary art center Para Site.
