Art for Healing: Ricky Luk, also known as humchuk which means “subtle” in Cantonese, has built a art practice that focuses on mental health challenges. His latest exhibition is organized by HKU Architecture Gallery at PMQ. Luk received his Master in Architecture from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and has taken up a career as an illustrator and visual artist since 2014, working on projects that deal with trauma. The vast majority of his illustrations are based on stories he collected interviewing others.
For this latest exhibition, Luk will be building and creating the exhibition as it goes on, drawing live and collecting stories from visitors. He will be at the exhibition every Thursday and Saturday to meet and interact with visitors.
