Three Periods of Hong Kong: “Recovery, Resilience, Resurgence” is a new exhibition at the Asia Society showcasing 80+ photos of Hong Kong during three consecutive periods by three photographers: Brian Brake, Lee Fook Chee and Hedda Morrison. Together, their works reflect 30 years of great change in Hong Kong, from the post-war recovery in 1946 to 1947, through the resilience of the 1950s, to the resurgence of the 1960s and 1970s. Each had different backgrounds, and in their own way, recorded Hong Kong during three important decades.
