August Specials: 12,000 Francs is back with a series of pop-ups this August, starting with a seasonal black winter truffle menu of award-winning truffles from Manjimup, western Australia. The menu (August 9 to 10, $680 per person) includes lobster consommé with Thai basil and black truffle; mushroom tartine with pan-fried sourdough; followed by either a Mayura Station Signature wagyu bavette steak or slow-cooked black cod — both served with Manjimup truffles. Dessert is a Vin Santo crème caramel with custard, almond biscuits, and shaved black truffles.

Right afterwards, premium English grass-fed beef from East Anglia will be served (August 11 to September 11, $450 per person). The special sharing menu is for two people and includes starters of house-smoked king salmon; foie gras and smoked ox tongue terrine; then either tagliolini with spicy chorizo and Cloudy Bay clams, or smoked coral trout and prawn rillettes with coconut milk; followed by a 28-day dry-aged Picanha rump steak. For dessert: 12,000 Francs’ signature Better Than Nutella, or a selection of homemade gelatos. Bon appetit!

When? August 9 to September 11, 2017.

How much? $450 to $680 per person.

Where? 12,000 Francs, 3A Elgin Street, Elgin Building, SoHo, Central.
