That’s an exciting step, KTR! In 99.9 percent of cases, being presented a key from the person you’re dating means a great deal of trust. It doesn’t always immediately mean “move in with me,” especially when it was communicated on such casual terms, but it sure does mean he wants to see you on a regular basis — aka you’re not just a random lay in his life.
More good news: it also very likely means he’s not seeing anyone else. A conversation about specifics should probably be in the works though, just in case there are any mixed signals and false expectations. As for whether he expects it back? If he didn’t ask for it back after that coffee run, sounds like the key is all yours. — Lulu
