The directionally challenged among us will fondly remember acquiring our first smartphone and discovering the wonders of GPS. Now, rough riders on motorbikes can do the same, with the launch of Google Maps Motorcycle Mode. Alongside its directional features for pedestrians, drivers and cyclists, as well as public transport options, Google Maps is rolling out a feature specifically for motorbike riders.
The new “motorbike mode” offers accurate routes based on motorcycle speeds and road rules. Developed specifically for motorcyclists in Asia-Pacific, the feature will soon be launching in Hong Kong as well as in other countries across the region.
