Newly opened at Sai Ying Pun, Yau Cafe is a social enterprise cafe run by the Hong Kong Blind Union. It offers coffee and light snacks, along with massage services! The cafe not only employs visually impaired baristas and massage therapists, but also offers training courses for those interested in pursuing a job in these areas.

Yau is inspired by the Chinese word meaning “rest”. The cafe hopes to become a resting place for the tired — get a relaxing massage, then a cup of energizing coffee before getting back to reality. The cafe’s interior is based on a Japanese zen tea room, styled with wooden furniture and big windows.
