Having a regular gym schedule is good for the mind and body, but sometimes, we can get a little bored of the regular routine. Here in Hong Kong, we’re lucky to have an abundance of fun alternative workouts that can burn the same, if not more, amount of calories. From paddleboard yoga to indoor biking in a bath, we’re rounding up the most exciting alternative workouts worth trying in lieu of the gym.

Although there are lots of outdoor bouldering options in the city, beginners best start their practice indoors before venturing into the unknown. The Player Climbingym offers indoor climbing walls which makes a great workout for arms, legs, core, and well, everything. There’s over 10,000 square feet of space and the venue caters to everyone, from first-timers and kids to expert climbers.

SUP Yoga (Island Paddle HK)

Love yoga? Enjoy paddleboarding? Island Paddle does both – at the same time. All sessions are led by certified SUP yoga instructors and takes about two hours to complete one lesson.
