Foodpanda workers organizes another strike which lasted over the weekend and will continue through the coming weekdays. Participating workers stated that they will be boycotting Pandamart orders from Monday to Friday, and continue the next weekend if Foodpanda refuses to negotiate. The couriers demanded the food delivery platform to raise their wages over the new distance calculation system introduced on September 28 with which their income is “30% lower” than last year’s average, allegedly; other demands include the right to freely reject or pass over orders, improve insurance, bonuses for workers who deliver in extreme weather and a compensation for the time spent on waiting for orders to be prepared.

Foodpanda claims that with its new distance calculation method in effect, it is now investing 17% more on distance service fee.
