American burger joint Five Guys has finally made its first foray into the east with the opening of its first Asia store, a 3,700sqft megastore in Hong Kong’s Wan Chai district.
Five Guys’ first store was opened in 1986, in Arlington Virginia, on the East Coast of the United States. Since then, the brand has expanded its portfolio to over 1,500 locations around the world. To this day, Five Guys continues to hold to its promise of using quality ingredients to deliver a consistent experience where burgers and fries are made fresh in store each day.
Like all the other Five Guys stores, the Wan Chai location will offer a build-your-own-burger experience. Customers pay for the basic bun-and-patty combo, and can beef up their burger with their choice of 15 free ingredients (cheese and bacon is extra!). Feeling hungry? The brand’s fresh-cut fries — fried in no-cholesterol, 100% peanut oil — are also on offer, as are decadent milkshakes in just about every flavor (the peanut butter is a serious treat).
